The Trust invokes section 12 of the Act, in this case, as the cost of compliance is estimated to exceed the appropriate limit.

The Trust does not store this information centrally, it is only kept on the individual’s records. These decisions can be quite fluid depending on the patient’s condition and wishes which can change on a regular basis.
