The Desborough Hotel Group will be hosting an “Oriental Evening” as part of its commitment to help The Stephanie Marks Appeal raise £2.5 million to build and equip a dedicated Diabetes Resource Centre.

Celebrate the ‘Year of the Rooster’ in style. This enchanting evening takes place on Friday, 22 April at 7.30 pm at The Disraeli Suite at The Anchor Hotel located in Church Square, Shepperton on Thames.

You’ll be welcomed with a delicious glass of warm Sake to ward off the winter chill and soften the mood. Next, see if you win one of the wonderful selection of prizes in the Fortune Cookie Tombola. Then feast on a mouth watering selection of Oriental cuisine, almost a banquet. Entertainment will be provided by talented Asian performers from the region. If you really want to get in the mood, themed costume can be worn!!

Elmbridge Mayor, Councillor Martin Schofield, will be supporting the Appeal by attending the evening. In line with his theme for his term of office of “Good Health and Well-being of the Borough” he has adopted the Stephanie Marks Appeal as one of two main beneficiaries of the Mayor’s charity appeal.

Sue Stroud, PR Manager for The Desborough Hotel Group says, “We are very excited about The Oriental Evening. This is the first of a series of events we are hosting for The Stephanie Marks Appeal and we know it is going to be a great success. If you can support the Appeal by taking a table, offering a tombola prize or even sponsoring the event we would love to hear from you.”
