Barclays employees from their Heathrow branch have recently been putting together some Easter goodie bags for Ashford Hospital patients.

The Easter bags were an idea that came about as part of the Barclays employee volunteering programme. A grant of £500 was provided from the Barclays Community Programme to buy the items to put into the bags. The same team made a similar donation at Christmas this year and intend to keep helping the hospital.

The £500 was able to provide dozens of Easter goodie bags containing eggs, toiletries, tissues and flannels for patients who have to be in hospital over Easter.

Christine Hinton from Barclays Heathrow said: “We are delighted to support Ashford Hospital. This is a lovely Example of Barclays staff working closely with the local community to achieve something which we hope will make a real difference.”

Sister Usha Sagoo from Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Trust said: “the patients will really appreciate this kind gesture; we would like to thank the staff at the Heathrow branch for their continued generosity to us.”
