As part of Ashford and St. Peter’s Month, ‘Breathe Easy Spelthorne’ have been at Ashford Hospital this week publicising national Breathe Easy Week – 11th to 18th June – and the work of the British Lung Foundation and its local group.

Breathe Easy Spelthorne group Secretary, Mollie Orr, said: “Our information stand at Ashford Hospital has helped us to publicise our activities prior to Breathe Easy Week. We’ve spoken to lots of people and given away lots of information and balloons. Our monthly meetings in Shepperton are for anyone who has breathing difficulties and we provide information, support and social activities. We would be delighted to welcome anyone who wants to pop along to see us.”

2005 is the 20th Anniversary of the British Lung Foundation which organises the setting up of ‘Breathe Easy’ groups across the country. Breathe Easy Spelthorne was established five years ago. Meetings are held on the third Monday of every month in the Shepperton pre-School Play Group building, Shepperton Recreation Ground, Glebeland Gardens, Shepperton, from 1.45p.m. to 3.45p.m.

The group can be contacted on 01932-785807 or via the British Lung Foundation on 020-8255-0791.
