Just about to throw away your old ink-jet printer cartridge? Don’t, is the plea from Hospital Radio Wey volunteers.

The team are collecting old cartridges for recycling which will be passed onto a contractor who will pay the charity for them.

Fund Raising Officer, Wayne Nichols, says donating cartridges is not only good for the environment but will help the station raise money for its new studios.

“Many people just throw their old cartridges out after they are finished without much thought, but with a little effort they can be put to good use for recycling and help the station,” said Wayne. “With so many cartridges being used we are hoping to give our contractor bucketfuls of them.”
