Summary
The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations came into force on 1st January 1992. Under the regulations there is a duty of care to eliminate or reduce injury or ill health to all employees who operate Display Screen Equipment (DSE).
Policy
Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has a duty to ensure health, safety and welfare at work relating to the use of Display Screen Equipment (DSE).
All workstations with display screen equipment must be designed and installed to meet the user’s requirements. All staff classified as users are entitled to receive a free eye test.
