How does your local ambulance service work? Would you like to know more about Microbiology and Infection Control? How is Ashford and St. Peter’s progressing? How do the League of Friends support Ashford Hospital?
If the answer is ‘Yes’ to any one of these four questions then you may be interested to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Ashford Hospital League of Friends next week where four guest speakers will cover those topics. Everyone is welcome to go to the Education Centre, first floor, West Entrance, Ashford Hospital on Thursday, October 18th where there will be light refreshments from 7.00pm onwards before the 7.30pm meeting.
The first guest speaker will be Mandy Wicks, Clinical Operations Manager (Walton and Staines) who will speak about the work of the South East Coast Ambulance Service. The importance of Infection Control work at Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospitals will be the subject of a talk from Director of Infection Control and Prevention, Dr Angela Shaw.
President of the League of Friends Dr Peter Wilkinson will speak about the important work of the Friends in supporting staff and patients at Ashford Hospital and, finally, Chairman of Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust, Clive Thompson CBE, will speak about the progress made at the Trust over recent years.
